We are seeking a skilled Primary Care Medical Specialist to join our team in Syracuse, NY.

About the Role

As a Primary Care Medical Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to patients under the supervision of a physician. This includes taking medical histories, conducting physical examinations, ordering diagnostic tests, administering treatments, monitoring patients, prescribing medications, and counseling and educating patients.

Responsibilities
  • Taking medical histories and conducting physical examinations
  • Ordering diagnostic tests and interpreting results
  • Administering treatments, including suturing and wart removal
  • Monitoring patients and prescribing medications
  • Assisting physicians with patient care and procedures
Requirements

To be successful as a Primary Care Medical Specialist, you must have:

  • A current NY State certification/registration as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • A current Basic Life Support Certification
  • Demonstrated ability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current and emerging trends in technologies, techniques, issues, and approaches in your area of expertise
