About the Role

As an Early Learning Mentor at Kai Ming Head Start, you will be responsible for guiding and supporting our education staff in delivering high-quality services to young children. This is a full-time exempt position, reporting directly to the Director of Human Resources/Program Director of STEP.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop coaching models and processes that foster a safe and nurturing learning environment for staff.
  2. Collaborate with Regional Managers and STEP Program Directors to create professional development plans for education staff.
  3. Ensure program practices align with Head Start Performance Standards and Community Care Licensing regulations.
  4. Foster staff's ability to apply culturally sensitive approaches in working with children, families, and colleagues.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Human Development, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Three to five years of experience in a public or private organization providing direct delivery of services to clients, with a focus on 0-5 children and families in early care and education settings.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills.
