Job Summary

Jefferson Health is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Services Specialist to join our team. As an Environmental Services Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining a high-quality standard of housekeeping and ensuring a safe and healthy environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily cleaning and supplying of patient rooms, nurses' stations, lounges, laboratories, bathrooms, offices, and other assigned areas in accordance with established procedures.
  • Replenish bathroom supplies and perform major floor cleaning and refinishing.
  • Report problems such as broken windows, handrails, etc. to the Group Leader and/or Supervisor.
  • Interact with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the Hospital.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D).
  • Familiarity with, if not proficiency in, the correct use of chemicals, supplies, tools, and equipment assigned.
  • General knowledge of and background in infection control practices in a health care facility.
