We are seeking a highly experienced Structural Steel Detailing Manager to join our team at MK Consulting Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the detailing process, managing a team of detailers, and ensuring the highest quality of work.
Key Responsibilities- Detailing Manual Management: Oversee the creation, maintenance, and updating of the company detailing manual.
- Third-Party Detailing Firm Oversight: Conduct regular audits and assessments of third-party detailing firms to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Vendor Management: Evaluate and procure new third-party detailing firms to meet the company's needs.
- Team Management: Plan, assign, direct, and review the work of in-house detailers and outside detailing firms.
- Project Management: Assist in assigning and monitoring work of outside detailing firms to ensure timely completion.
- Travel: Travel to audit third-party detailing firms and ensure compliance with company standards.
- Experience: 10 years of drafting and detailing experience, with a minimum of 5 years in structural steel, stairs, handrails, and miscellaneous metals.
- Management Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a management role.
- Software Skills: 5 years' experience using Advance Steel, Tekla, SDS/2, or equivalent 3D steel modeling software.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with engineering and fabrication personnel.
- Education: Associates degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management preferred, but not required if candidate has above-noted 10 years' experience.
