**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Instructor to teach face-to-face Entrepreneurship classes at Bertie Correctional Institution. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business and entrepreneurship, with experience in teaching and curriculum development.

**Key Responsibilities**

Teach assigned face-to-face Entrepreneurship classes, including:

  • Organizing a semester course following departmental guidelines
  • Creating course materials, such as tests, handouts, lectures, slides, assignments, rubrics, models, activities, and group work
  • Determining a fair grading system and setting up policies compliant with departmental and school regulations
  • Holding student conferences as needed and creating lesson plans
  • Keeping attendance using College provided Attendance Sheets and completing FTE and progress reports as required
  • Corresponding with supervisors through email in a timely manner and submitting grade and attendance reports as required
  • Working with students registered with Disabilities Services and being accessible to supervisors by phone and email
  • Completing all compulsory training regarding FERPA, Title IX, and Campus Safety
  • Dealing with student issues professionally and reporting unresolved issues or classroom incidents to supervisors
  • Adhering to all policies and procedures established by Bertie Correctional Institute, the Business/Technology/Cosmetology Division, and Martin Community College Campus

**Requirements**

The successful candidate will have:

  • A Master's degree in Business or a Master's degree plus 18 graduate hours in Business
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business with at least two years of experience as an entrepreneur
  • At least 10 years of experience as an entrepreneur
  • The ability to effectively teach face-to-face classes in a correctional institute atmosphere
  • The ability to successfully complete all NC Department of Corrections requirements for working on the premise
