Job Summary

Penske is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician/Mechanic II to join our team at our Scranton, PA facility. As a Technician II, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles, including trucks and trailers.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations
  • Diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical issues with engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems
  • Using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and repair vehicles
  • Working independently and as part of a team to complete repairs and maintenance tasks

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in vehicle maintenance and repair
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
  • ASE certification and 608/609 certifications preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
