Breast Sonographer Job Description

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Breast Sonographer to join our team on a per diem basis in Newton, Massachusetts.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly qualified and experienced Breast Sonographer to operate imaging equipment and produce high-quality diagnostic breast ultrasound images. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of breast anatomy and physiology, as well as the ability to evaluate patient medical history and pertinent patient symptoms.

Responsibilities
  • Operate imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic breast ultrasound images
  • Perform sonographic images, procedures, and duties under the direction of a qualified physician and clinical manager
  • Evaluate patient medical history and pertinent patient symptoms followed by diagnostic sonographic imaging based on protocols
  • Work in a safe and efficient environment
Requirements
  • Registered diagnostic medical Sonographer
  • Prior Breast Ultrasound experience required
  • CPR Certified (BLS)
  • Knowledge of the special needs and behaviors of adolescent, adult, and older adult patients preferred
