Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the comfort and well-being of clients and their pets
  • Supporting veterinarians in providing nursing care and administering medical treatments
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records
  • Filling prescriptions as directed by a veterinarian and explaining prescription instructions to clients
  • Assisting receptionists with check-in and checkout procedures and providing telephone support
  • Performing various laboratory tests and analyzing results
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, adhering to high standards of sanitation and hygiene
  • Collaborating with other team members to achieve seamless day-to-day operations

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience working in a veterinary clinic as a veterinary assistant
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must frequently lift 40 pounds
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and climb stairs regularly
  • Must be comfortable working in an environment with exposure to disinfectant/sanitation chemicals, animal dander, and excretions
  • Must be able to handle dogs on leashes

Salary: $20-24/hour (DOE)
