Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Construction Inspector to join our team at Larson Design Group. As a Construction Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting and documenting construction activities for transportation and civil projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and document construction activities for transportation and civil projects.
  • Use computer software programs to document observations and create inspection reports.
  • Monitor work of team to ensure timely completion of project.
  • Interact with clients, contractors, sub-contractors, government agency representatives, and other parties on a regular basis.
  • Communicate information, respond to inquiries, and help resolve field issues to ensure successful completion of projects.
  • Responsible for obtaining and maintaining required certifications.
  • Utilize technical references appropriately for the inspection of structural, concrete, earthwork, building, and mechanical components.
Requirements
  • Education: GED or high school diploma required. Degree in Civil Engineering preferred.
  • Experience: minimum of two years of PennDOT, Pennsylvania Turnpike, or related transportation construction experience
  • Licensure/Certification: NECEPT bituminous and concrete, ACI, NICET Level 2 or higher in Highway Construction, CDS NextGen, KAHUA
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with PennDOT, PA Turnpike, or related organizations preferred.
  • Previous Construction Inspection experience preferred.
  • Experience working with CDS NeXtGen and Kahua preferred. Must possess valid driver's license.
