Key Responsibilities:

* **Strategic Safety Leadership**: Collaborate with facility leaders to identify and prioritize safety initiatives. Develop and implement plans that address significant risks and align with OSHA regulations and industry best practices.
* **Program Development**: Design, manage, and support the execution of safety policies and programs to maintain high safety awareness and uphold our commitment to safety as a top priority.
* **Training & Empowerment**: Train and mentor leaders and team members on safety practices, risk identification, and mitigation strategies. Foster a culture of risk-based thinking and adaptability.
* **Collaborative Efforts**: Work closely with the Plant Leadership team, HR, and external partners to address safety issues, develop training materials, and implement recommendations from safety assessments.
* **Incident Management**: Lead investigations and root cause analyses for incidents. Ensure corrective actions are taken and documented appropriately.
* **Compliance & Audits**: Audit safety procedures to ensure compliance. Maintain up-to-date documentation and manage inspections and EHS corrective actions.
* **Committee & Team Management**: Lead the Site Safety Committee and Emergency Response Team. Oversee site insurance loss control and workers' compensation programs.
* **Budget Management**: Prepare and oversee the annual EHS budget, ensuring effective management of resources and sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications:

* **Education**: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field. Alternatively, 10 years of EHS experience with 5 years in a management role within a manufacturing environment.
* **Experience**: Minimum of 5 years in an EHS management role, preferably in manufacturing or distribution settings.
* **Certifications**: Relevant EHS certifications are highly desirable.
* **Skills**: Strong knowledge of EHS regulations, excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills. Proven ability to manage budgets, lead safety programs, and work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Travel:

* Up to 10% travel required, as needed.
