The supervisor will oversee the quality of supplies, linens, and inventory in guest rooms, and must effectively communicate information through various channels including phone, radio, and in-person interactions. Additionally, this role involves coaching and mentoring team members to uphold the company's service and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- The Senior Room Quality Supervisor is dedicated to providing outstanding customer service, positively influencing interactions with guests and colleagues, and demonstrating resilience in challenging situations.
- Conducts thorough inspections of guest rooms to verify cleanliness and quality, ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Reports on room readiness for guest occupancy.
- Ensures that guest rooms, linens, service areas, and equipment are organized according to standardized procedures.
- Leads daily pre-shift meetings, inspects uniforms, and directs the activities of all housekeeping staff.
- Identifies and reports any maintenance issues or deficiencies to the engineering team, prepares work orders, and follows up on completion.
- Provides training on the safe and proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Maintains accurate hotel room status in the property management system and on status boards.
What qualifications are we seeking?
- Proven knowledge of housekeeping and hotel operational procedures.
- Ability to learn and execute detailed inspection protocols.
- Strong leadership skills to empower and guide team members.
- Basic proficiency in computer usage and familiarity with office communication tools.
- Effective workload prioritization skills.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- A minimum of one year of experience in housekeeping within a hotel or similar environment is required.
- Experience in quality control and leadership roles is essential.
These competencies are typically acquired through a high school education or equivalent, along with at least one year of leadership or hospitality experience.
