Key Responsibilities

As a Heavy Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that ensure the optimal performance of our machinery. Your duties will include:
  • Conducting thorough inspections of tools and machinery to identify malfunctions or assess operational readiness.
  • Adhering to maintenance schedules to keep tools and equipment in peak condition.
  • Executing repairs on equipment enclosures, interiors, dashboards, and related components.
  • Troubleshooting and rectifying electrical and basic electronic issues.
  • Performing urgent repairs in the field to restore equipment functionality or facilitate its return to the shop for further servicing.
  • Utilizing tools and machinery to diagnose issues, confirm operational status, or relocate equipment within the facility.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of tools, equipment, and the workshop environment.
  • Keeping accurate records and conducting annual inspections of equipment.
Qualifications & Skills

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the rental industry is preferred.
  • Certification from JLG/Genie is advantageous.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of equipment brands such as John Deere, Komatsu, Bobcat, and Caterpillar.
  • Ability to understand the principles, techniques, tools, and equipment used in vehicle and self-powered machinery repair, including heavy machinery.
  • Commitment to following all relevant safety standards, regulations, and procedures.
  • Capacity to develop advanced mechanical skills over time.
  • Proficiency in documenting information accurately in both written work orders and digital databases.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • A high school diploma is required.
