Regulatory Compliance Officer Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Equities Regulatory Compliance Officer to join our team in New York. As a key member of our Americas Compliance team, you will be responsible for providing regulatory/compliance advice and support to our equity and equity derivatives trading and operational functions.

This role is ideal for an experienced compliance professional with strong knowledge of Reg ATS, Reg NMS, Equity Derivatives, and Regulatory Reporting Requirements related to equities trading. You will work closely with our business stakeholders, legal, risk, HR, IT, finance, operations, and the wider compliance function to ensure that we meet our obligations pursuant to key regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the Firm meets its obligations pursuant to key regulations related to equities trading, including but not limited to, electronic and algorithmic trading, Reg ATS, REG NMS, Market Access, Regulatory Reporting (CAT, TRF, Rules 605 and 606), Order Routing and Best Execution;
  • Provide Compliance Advice: Respond to and address inquiries from various equity and equity derivatives business units throughout the firm to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and firm policies;
  • Maintain Regulatory Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on changes to regulatory requirements and ensure timely implementation;
  • Manage Regulatory Exams: Manage and respond to regulatory examinations, investigations, and inquiries related to the firm's equities businesses;
  • Collaborate with Teams: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams as needed (e.g., Legal, Compliance, Risk, Client On-Boarding, AML Office, and IT);
Requirements:
  • Experience: 7 -10 years of experience supporting equities compliance at a broker-dealer;
  • Licenses: Series 7, 14, and 24 or ability to obtain the licenses upon hiring;
  • Education: College degree required;
  • Skills: Strong writing skills and analytical skills;
