Job Description

Stolfus & Associates, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Transportation Engineering Student Intern to join our team in Greenwood Village, CO.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Development: Design transportation facilities, including interstate highways, interchanges, urban and rural roadways, intersections, and multimodal facilities.
  • Project Management: Prepare studies, reports, plans, and construction packages for a wide variety of transportation projects.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Exercise initiative, judgment, and knowledge in areas of responsibility, and prepare working drawings, details, layouts, quantity calculations, geometric evaluations, and work products.
  • Field Observation and Travel: Perform field observation work when necessary, and may be required to travel to client facilities and project sites.
Requirements:
  • Completion of two years towards Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an A.B.E.T. Accredited school.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office products.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to summarize technical information into accessible forms.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills.
  • A desire to grow personally and professionally while working in a team environment to make Colorado's transportation system safer and improve quality of life for users while meeting our client's needs.
  • The ability to sit/stand for extended periods at a computer workstation, and occasional travel to client facilities and project sites require ability to climb ladders, inspect and be physically mobile in and around client construction sites.
Working Conditions:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as but not limited to computers, copiers, printers, scanners, and plotters.

Compensation:

Base pay range for transportation engineering student intern position with 2-3 years of work towards a civil engineering degree: $24/hour to $26/hour.
