We are seeking a skilled construction project leader to guide our operations to success. This role involves overseeing Division 8 projects, which encompass commercial doors, frames, hardware, and installation. The successful candidate will collaborate with estimators, detailers, and project managers to ensure that projects are executed efficiently and on schedule. Compensation:

$65,000 - $85,000 plus Commission

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage construction schedules to meet project deadlines.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations to prevent accidents and project delays.
  • Obtain necessary licenses and permits, ensuring all construction meets regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with general contractors and subcontractors to negotiate beneficial contracts.
  • Establish and maintain organizational systems for tools, equipment, and vehicles.

Collaboration is essential to ensure our performance aligns with contractual standards. This includes:

  • Engaging with customers, estimators, and detailers to strategize and clarify project requirements.
  • Working with the Accounting team on project financials and contracting needs.
  • Securing customer approval of project specifications before finalizing details.
  • Coordinating with various managers to streamline logistics and production processes.
  • Reviewing project submissions and initiating purchasing in accordance with specifications.
  • Managing all change orders and ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
  • Resolving discrepancies and addressing job site challenges as they arise.
  • Maintaining comprehensive electronic records of all project communications and approvals.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of one year of experience as a construction project manager is required.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills are essential.
  • Familiarity with construction project management software is preferred.
  • OSHA 30 certification is required.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly regarded.
  • Experience in the door and hardware sector is preferred (5+ years qualifies as Senior Project Manager).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
  • Attention to detail is crucial.
  • Ability to interpret plans and specifications for Division 8 projects.
  • Relevant certifications such as DHIA, DHT, DHC, or AHC are advantageous.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members.
  • Knowledge of products and services offered by the company.
  • Understanding of codes affecting the delivery of doors and hardware.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and project management software.
  • Experience with Comsense software is a plus.
  • Safety training is beneficial.
