POSITION SUMMARY:
This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry, focusing on project engineering and field operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct thorough reviews of project plans and specifications.
- Oversee the submittal process by evaluating shop drawings against project specifications, maintaining an organized submittal log, and liaising with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and the Project Superintendent.
- Ensure all plans, specifications, and revisions are current and accessible to the construction team.
- Manage the Request for Information (RFI) process effectively.
- Coordinate and facilitate Pre-Construction Meetings and Mock-ups with architects and subcontractors.
- Assist in the processing of change orders as needed.
- Document project progress through photographic records.
- Support the Project Closeout process by gathering warranties, guarantees, as-built documents, and other essential materials.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Pursuing a four-year degree in building construction or engineering.
- Preferred 2-3 years of relevant experience.
- Familiarity with construction, architectural, and engineering terminology.
- Basic skills in estimating and project planning.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in using personal computers and various software applications.
- Basic knowledge of scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project, Suretrak, or P6.
