West Coast University is seeking a highly qualified Faculty Member to join our team of dedicated professionals in the field of Physical Therapy. As a Faculty Member, you will play a critical role in shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching and Mentoring: Deliver high-quality instruction to students in the Physical Therapy program, utilizing a variety of teaching methods to engage and motivate learners.
- Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and revision of curriculum materials, ensuring that they are aligned with industry standards and best practices.
- Assessment and Evaluation: Participate in the assessment and evaluation of student learning outcomes, using data to inform instruction and program improvement.
- Service and Scholarship: Engage in service activities that support the university and the profession, such as committee work, community outreach, and scholarly research.
- Terminal Degree: A terminal degree in Physical Therapy or a related field is preferred, but consideration will be given to those enrolled in a terminal degree program.
- Teaching Experience: 0-4 years of teaching experience in a university or college setting, or previous rank of assistant professor awarded by a regionally accredited institution.
- Professional Certifications: Must maintain any professional certifications deemed necessary to meet the requirements of the teaching role.
- Licensure: Must be licensed to practice physical therapy in California (if physical therapist).
- Technical Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Products, especially Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and other MS office products as needed.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of state, federal, and local laws and regulations relating to programs, governmental compliance, and other regulatory standards.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
