Pharmacy Faculty Member

We are seeking a highly qualified Pharmacy Faculty Member to join our team at West Coast University. As a faculty member, you will play a critical role in shaping the next generation of pharmacists and contributing to the university's mission of transforming healthcare education.
Key Responsibilities- Scholarly Activities: Engage in individual and collaborative research, publish scholarly articles, and present at conferences to advance the field of pharmacy.
- Mentorship and Guidance: Serve as a mentor, role model, and facilitator, providing guidance and academic support to students inside and outside the classroom.
- Teaching and Learning: Develop and deliver high-quality educational programs, utilizing a variety of active learning methodologies to instruct students and collect evidence of student learning outcomes.
- Quality Improvement: Contribute to the quality improvement of personal and team performance, courses, and curriculum via a continuous improvement plan.
- Professional Growth and Service: Participate in professional growth and service in accordance with university policies, including student recruitment, remediation, and retention.
- Clinical Practice Site Development: Develop a clinical practice site to serve patients and train students for experiential education, assuming responsibility for students in clinical facilities and providing feedback on clinical performance.
- Education: Must have a PharmD degree or a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy plus 10 years of professional experience in the areas of expertise or practice.
- Experience: Must have a documented background in educational methodology consistent with teaching assignments, including education theory and practice, current concepts relative to specific subjects, current clinical practice experience, and distance education techniques and delivery.
- Licensure: Must have a current California Registered Pharmacist License or acquire one within six months of hire.
This is a full-time faculty position at West Coast University's Los Angeles CGS Campus. The successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with faculty and staff to achieve the university's mission and goals.
