About the Role

CBEM is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Crisis Intervention Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our crisis response team, you will provide critical support to individuals in crisis, utilizing your expertise in behavioral support and mental health to develop and implement effective stabilization plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide crisis intervention services to individuals with developmental disabilities and co-occurring mental health disorders
  • Develop and implement comprehensive stabilization plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
  • Consult with psychiatrists, BCBA's, and psychologists to ensure comprehensive care
  • Participate in hotline rotations to address acute crisis calls
  • Participate in clinical trainings and interdisciplinary planning meetings
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Psychology, Human Services, Counseling, Social Work, Special Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, Sociology, or related field
  • Experience in the human services field, with a focus on developmental disabilities and mental health
  • California driver's license and insurance
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced crisis response environment
