Position Overview

This role is pivotal in creating, organizing, and executing a therapeutic program tailored to support students with speech, language, and swallowing challenges. The Speech Language Pathologist will ensure adherence to all safety protocols and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement individualized therapy plans for students with communication disorders.
  • Collaborate with educational staff to support student learning and development.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress and therapy sessions.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related discipline.
  • Enrollment in a Master's degree program in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
  • Alternatively, acceptance into a Master's program within one year of employment.

Licensure
  • Possession of a valid Florida certification in the relevant field or appropriate state licensure.

Additional Information
  • Encouragement for applicants with a Bachelor's degree and those completing their clinical fellowship year (CFY).
  • Opportunities for mentorship and supervision towards obtaining the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
