About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Services Technician to join our team at Andersen Corporation. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and grounds maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Building Maintenance and Repair: Ensure all building-related equipment is functioning properly, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other systems.
  • Work Order Management: Assist with prioritization of incoming work orders and ensure that all related issues are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting: Recognize problem areas and take independent action to resolve them, recommending necessary repairs and understanding when professional involvement is required.
  • Facilities Management: Conduct basic repairs to miscellaneous facilities equipment and fixtures, ensuring quality and safety standards are met throughout all job functions.
  • Grounds Maintenance: Ensure building grounds are kept safe, clean, and respectable, surveying grounds daily and assisting in setting priorities on a daily and seasonal basis.
  • Supervision and Coordination: Provide indirect supervision of contracted grounds services and on-site service providers, providing inputs on their performances to immediate supervisor.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Experience: 3-5 years of related experience in building maintenance and repair.
  • Skills: Proficient computer skills, basic understanding of buildings and grounds infrastructures, and ability to follow simple oral and written instructions.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
