Compensation: $26 - $28 per hour, No Per Diem

Work Schedule: Tentative to M-Th or Tu-Fri, 6:00am - 4:30pm, Overtime may be required.

Position Overview:

This role involves selecting appropriate equipment, determining layout assembly welding, and overseeing installation processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prioritize safety; employees must recognize construction hazards and report them to their supervisor.
  • Safely operate and utilize all necessary tools and equipment to accomplish daily tasks.
  • Arrange, align, and fit components together for installation.
  • Connect structural elements such as columns, beams, and girders using bolts in accordance with blueprints and/or supervisor instructions.
  • Identify and install suitable hardware.
  • Dismantle existing structures as required.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned within the scope of an Ironworker's duties.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Ability to work at heights exceeding six feet.
  • Prior experience in an industrial plant setting.
  • Familiarity with blueprints.
  • NCCER certification is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of relevant safety standards and a commitment to using protective gear (face shield, gloves, etc.).
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in reading and writing in English.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must successfully complete a Pulmonary Function Test (PFT).
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
  • Must maintain a clean-shaven appearance.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Capability to reach overhead and utilize tools effectively.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions.
  • Proficient in using hands for grasping.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and twist.
  • Ability to sit, balance, and climb ladders, scaffolds, and other structures.
  • Ability to carry tools and navigate confined and cluttered spaces.
  • Ability to work up to a 12-hour shift in various weather conditions.
  • Vision sufficient to perform all required tasks.
