About LINE Austin

We are in search of a proactive Engineering Maintenance Supervisor. The ideal candidate will possess a true enthusiasm for the hospitality sector and demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform general administrative tasks such as typing, filing, and answering phone calls.
  2. Maintain the property operations log, reconcile the ledger to the general ledger monthly, and assist in inventory management and supply ordering.
  3. Oversee the Engineering team’s activities through work assignments in collaboration with the Chief Engineer.
  4. Execute administrative responsibilities in alignment with evolving requirements.
  5. Collaborate with other departments to ensure the effective implementation of repair and maintenance schedules.
  6. Support the maintenance of all Engineering documentation and records.
  7. Assist the Director of Engineering with the recruitment, selection, training, guidance, management, and scheduling of personnel.
  8. Coordinate daily with Housekeeping and Front Office to ensure guest room readiness.
  9. Act as the primary contact for the Engineering Department for both internal and external clients and/or contractors.
  10. Manage the issuance and cancellation of security passes or keys for staff and contractors.
  11. Oversee key and lock modifications for offices and procure necessary supplies as required.
  12. Coordinate mobile phone usage within the department.
  13. Manage all furniture requests for the hotel.
  14. Maintain updated records of operating equipment within the department.
  15. Respond efficiently to all telephone inquiries and complaints, utilizing effective listening, questioning, and problem-solving skills.
  16. Comply with all operational standards, policies, procedures, manuals, memos, and verbal instructions.
  17. Be knowledgeable about all safety and emergency protocols, including OSHA regulations.
  18. Participate in relevant meetings.
Core Competencies
  1. High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
  2. Three (3) years of relevant experience in the hospitality or service industry is preferred.
  3. Excellent communication skills.
  4. Team-oriented mindset.
  5. Integrity and ethical conduct.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Opera PMS.
  7. Positive demeanor.
  8. Attention to detail.
  9. Strong problem-solving skills.
