Job Overview

Position: Hydraulic Tong Mechanic

Role Summary: The Hydraulic Tong Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance and repair of hydraulic machinery, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

· Monitor, assess, and evaluate the functionality of hydraulic systems to identify issues.

· Dismantle machinery to extract components for repair or replacement.

· Inspect parts for signs of damage, such as fractures or excessive wear.

· Conduct repairs, replacements, adjustments, and alignments of equipment components.

· Maintain cleanliness and lubrication of machinery and parts.

· Perform test runs on repaired equipment to confirm repair effectiveness.

· Fabricate parts as necessary for equipment restoration.

· Procure parts required for machinery repairs.

· Assist in documenting maintenance and repair activities.

· Understand and adhere to operational and technical guidelines as well as workplace protocols.

· Comply with all safety regulations and company policies of Noble Casing Inc.

· Ensure that all work assignments are completed to the highest quality standards.

· Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor, within the physical capabilities of the role.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in mechanical roles, with a preference for hydraulic experience.

Skills: Ability to interpret repair manuals, strong mechanical aptitude, and proficient computer skills. Knowledge of equipment diagnostics and repair is essential.

Communication: Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills, along with interpersonal abilities.

Leadership: Demonstrated leadership qualities and a commitment to quality work.

Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Teamwork: Ability to collaborate closely with colleagues.

Safety Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of safety and work standards.

Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and reasoning skills.

Cost Awareness: Ability to maintain cost consciousness in operations.

Minimum Requirements:

Completion of all necessary training specific to Noble Casing Inc. and the industry.

Associate degree or equivalent from a technical institution; or 1-2 years of relevant experience and/or training preferred.

Physical Demands:

Light Duty: Lifting up to 20 pounds, with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds.

Medium Duty: Lifting up to 50 pounds, with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

Heavy Work: Lifting up to 100 pounds, with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds or more.
