Job DescriptionJob Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our team of patient care specialists. As a key member of our dental team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality oral health services to our patients, educating them on proper oral hygiene and health practices, and working closely with our dentists to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Perform licensed hygiene procedures, including exposing and evaluating diagnostic x-rays, taking and recording blood pressure, and providing adult and child prophylaxis.
- Develop and maintain continued patient care relationships, verifying and documenting patient health history and educating patients on oral hygiene, health, and disease.
- Collaborate with our dentists to co-assess possible restorative treatments and determine the need for sealant placement, Arestin, and fluoride treatments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control protocols.
Qualifications:
- Dental hygiene certification from an accredited dental hygiene school.
- Current hygiene license in the state where employed.
- Annual OSHA, HIPAA, BLS, and infection control training as required by law.
- Experience with dental software.
