Nursing Care Specialist

At Prisma Health, we are committed to delivering exceptional patient care and service. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in our team, working under the direction of a Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist Patients with Daily Living Activities: Provide assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, while promoting patient dignity and comfort.
- Collect and Document Patient Data: Collect and document patient data, including vital signs, medical history, and treatment plans, to ensure accurate and timely documentation.
- Assist with Treatments and Procedures: Assist with treatments and procedures, such as administering medications, performing basic nursing procedures, and maintaining patient care equipment.
- Maintain a Clean and Safe Environment: Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, including the hospital room, utility room, diet kitchen, hallways, and alcoves.
- Perform Point of Care Testing: Perform point of care testing as trained and delegated by the RN, reporting lab values to the RN as needed.
- Completion of a Nursing Assistant Program: Completion of a nursing assistant program is preferred.
- No Previous Experience Required: No previous experience is required, but a willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced healthcare environment is essential.
This is a non-management position that reports to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive. The work environment is a hospital setting, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care and service.
