Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

GiaCare, Inc. is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team. As a civilian Licensed Practical Nurse, you will work full-time in anticipation of a future position at Hurlburt Field AFB, Florida.

Job Qualifications:
  • Degree/Education: Certificate from an accredited community college, junior college, college, university, or vocational nursing program approved by the State agency and accredited by the Commission on Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA).
  • Experience: One year of practical or vocational nurse experience after graduation, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and proficiency in Composite Health Care Systems (CHCS), Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA), Aeromedical Services Information Management System (ASIMS), and Preventive Health Assessment and Individual Medical Readiness (PIMR).
  • Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license as a practical or vocational nurse.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support
Job Duties:
  • Escort patients to exam rooms for medical provider visits, obtaining and documenting subjective and objective data in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Complete assigned patient care based on patient conditions, using judgment in selecting procedures and treatments, and accurately recognizing, reporting, and recording relevant patient information.
  • Observe, identify, and respond to patient needs for care, including medication, equipment-assisted care, and patient/family education.
