About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Developer to join our team at Lockheed Martin. As a key member of our Advanced Development Programs Mission Control Systems Software (MCS) Team, you will be responsible for developing command and control (C2) ground and mission control software for various autonomous air vehicle platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop software for safety-critical systems using C, C++, or Lua programming languages.
  • Work on a wide range of software development tasks, including requirements generation, software design, code, test, integration, and flight test.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software with various host systems, including live assets, simulated systems, and laboratory environments.
  • Develop and maintain software using Agile software development processes and tools such as Jira and Git.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure high-quality software development practices.
  • Travel occasionally for team interaction, integration, and test activities.
Requirements
  • Experience with C, C++, or Lua programming languages.
  • Experience with Windows or Linux development.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
Desired Skills
  • Agile software development experience.
  • Experience with Agile process tools such as Jira.
  • Configuration management systems experience (e.g. Git).
  • DevOps experience (GitLab).
  • Python programming experience.
  • Experience developing software for safety-critical systems.
  • Experience with networking and internet protocols: IP, TCP/UDP, RTP, TLS.
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks such as CppUnit.
  • Experience building custom Linux distros with Yocto.
  • Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure).
  • Experience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
Security Clearance

This position requires a government security clearance. You must be a US Citizen for consideration.
