Job Overview:

This role involves working flexibly between 20-29 hours per week.

Role Summary:

The Dining Room Attendant plays a crucial role in ensuring an outstanding dining experience for all patrons. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing water service throughout meals and offering bread and butter service during dinner.
  • Resetting tables and maintaining stock of necessary items for efficient service.
  • Assisting in the upkeep of the dining area, side stations, kitchen service zones, and dish breakdown areas.
  • Offering general support to leadership and the team as needed.

Compensation: $15 - $20/hour or more based on business volume and tips.

Qualifications:

  1. Prior experience in a similar role is highly preferred, especially in upscale dining establishments.
  2. A strong commitment to delivering exceptional guest service and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic team.
  3. Excellent attention to detail and the capacity to perform essential duties efficiently.
  4. Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  5. Proactive approach and initiative in various situations.
  6. Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment while exercising sound judgment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Engaging in guest service by replenishing table items, anticipating needs, and clearing dining areas in accordance with established procedures.
  2. Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of service protocols, company policies, and state liquor regulations.
  3. Replacing soiled linens, cleaning tables, and setting them with appropriate utensils and glassware.
  4. Ensuring table settings are maintained by removing completed courses and replenishing utensils and beverages.
  5. Closing the dining area by cleaning furniture, sweeping or vacuuming floors, and disposing of waste.

Physical Requirements:

  1. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull weights between 25-50 pounds, including maneuvering large serving trays.
  2. Capability to endure various physical movements throughout the work shift.
  3. Willingness to work in environments with varying temperatures, noise levels, and exposure to various elements.
