Job Overview:

The City Clerk's Office of Concord, NH is in search of a motivated and meticulous candidate for the role of Administrative Technician II. This position involves providing assistance to the public regarding the issuance of essential records, pet licenses, and voter registration services. Furthermore, the individual will support all activities related to elections conducted within the City of Concord and offer administrative assistance to both the City Clerk and Deputy City Clerk. The City of Concord provides competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, 12.5 paid holidays, and membership in the New Hampshire Retirement System.

Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Process and modify vital records in compliance with state regulations and court directives.
- Maintain and update voter files within the New Hampshire Voter Registration System according to federal and state laws.
- Assist with all pre and post-election duties, including managing absentee ballots and preparing voter checklists.
- Facilitate voter registration in the office and at various community events.
- Issue pet licenses and maintain the municipal dog licensing database as per state law.
- Provide administrative support across various functions within the City Clerk's Office.
- Compile and distribute various reports as needed.
- Ensure proper filing and documentation in accordance with state records retention policies.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or GED with a minimum of two years of clerical experience involving public interaction, or a combination of education and experience that provides the necessary skills for the role.

Skills and Knowledge:

- Familiarity with administrative procedures and terminology related to vital records and election processes.
- Proficient in business English, including grammar and composition.
- Competence in using word processors and general office equipment.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
