Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in the operating room. Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist surgeons during surgical procedures, providing technical support and maintaining a safe and efficient operating room environment.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient education, ensuring patients and families are informed and prepared for their care.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:
  • Minimum two (2) years of peri-operative scrubbing and circulating experience in a KP OR or one (1) year experience as an RNFA in or outside of KP.
  • Certification of Completion from AORN recognized RNFA course.
  • Registered Nurse License (Oregon) and Basic Life Support certification.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum two (2) years of practice as an RNFA.
  • CRNFA certification preferred.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required upon hire/transfer preferred.
