Cocktail Server Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cocktail Server to join our team at Caesars Entertainment. As a Cocktail Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional beverage service to our guests, ensuring a memorable and enjoyable experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely and friendly beverage service to guests, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Take drink orders, communicate with bartenders, and assist in the preparation of drinks.
  • Present drinks to guests in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain a clean and stocked workstation, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Handle money and operate a point-of-sale system accurately and efficiently.
  • Monitor guest consumption of alcohol and intervene as needed, following company guidelines.
  • Work closely with other team members, including beverage servers, bartenders, and supervisors, to ensure seamless service.
  • Provide personalized service, using guest names and addressing their needs promptly.
  • Resolve service problems and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Meet attendance and punctuality expectations, adhering to company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 21 years of age or older.
  • One year of previous high-volume cocktail experience.
  • Minimum of one year of customer service experience, with a focus on direct customer interaction.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to initiate and engage in conversation in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Professional and pleasant appearance, with a well-groomed demeanor.
  • Ability to work any day of the week and scheduled shift.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude.

Physical, Mental, and Environmental Demands:

  • Requires standing and walking continuously, with a tray up to 20lbs, throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 20lbs.
  • Must be able to work in extreme heat during the summer months.
  • Must be able to stand for entire shift.
  • Must be able to access service area when picking up beverage orders.
  • Must be able to converse over the telephone in an environment with loud background noise.
  • Must be able to stoop, bend, and reach.
  • Must have the manual dexterity required to write drink orders, prepare drinks and garnishes, and beverage orders.
  • Must be able to listen and respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Must be able to simultaneously handle the demands of many customers.
