Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Police Officer to join our team at the City of Livonia, MI. As a Police Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining law and order, protecting the public, and upholding the laws of the city.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce traffic laws and regulations
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide assistance to the public
  • Investigate crimes and gather evidence
  • Make arrests and apprehend suspects
  • Provide support to other law enforcement agencies
  • Participate in community policing initiatives
Requirements
  • Citizen of the United States
  • At least 20 years and 6 months of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate degree in Law Enforcement or Police Administration or a bachelor's degree in any discipline
  • Four years of paid full-time qualified work experience
  • Certified Michigan Police Officer or certifiable as a Police Officer in the State of Michigan
  • Normal hearing, normal color vision, and normal visual functions and acuity
  • Passing MCOLES physical fitness test
