About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Sonographer to join our team at Omaha Children's Hospital. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of exceptional healthcare services to our young patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine ultrasound examinations to facilitate diagnosis and ensure accurate patient care.
  • Prepare patients and families for exams, providing education and reassurance to alleviate anxiety and promote cooperation.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime.
  • Process and evaluate sonographic images, preparing them for interpretation by radiologists and maintaining accurate patient records.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care and support.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree from an accredited AMA-approved school of Sonography or equivalent.
  • A.R.D.M.S. or board eligibility, with registry completion within one year.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Additional certifications in Abdomen and Vascular preferred.
