POSITION SUMMARY

As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of pastries and desserts in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards. Your role will involve the meticulous preparation of ingredients, including measuring, chopping, and organizing food items for efficient cooking.

Utilizing baking tools and equipment safely and effectively, you will ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of personal hygiene. You will regularly check the temperatures of kitchen appliances and food items, promptly reporting any discrepancies to management.

In addition to cooking, you will be tasked with maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. This includes washing and sanitizing work areas, setting up and breaking down your workstation, and adhering to sanitation protocols. Monitoring the quality of food prepared and served will be essential throughout your shift.

It is crucial to follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and security. You will be expected to report any accidents or unsafe conditions to your supervisor and complete necessary safety training. Maintaining a professional appearance and confidentiality of proprietary information is also required.

Strong communication skills are essential, as you will interact with colleagues and management in a professional manner. Building positive working relationships and supporting team objectives will be a vital part of your role. You will be expected to comply with quality standards and perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION

Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.

Related Work Experience: Less than 1-year related work experience.

Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.

License or Certification: None
