Job Description:

This position is for a Senior Software Engineer who will work on designing and implementing core features in the shopping funnel of Sam's Club web application. The ideal candidate will have experience with React native, React and Redux, Javascript, Node JS, MVC MVVM architectures, best practices and design patterns like reusable components, promises, application flow control. Additionally, they should be able to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with technical and non-technical cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement core features in the shopping funnel of Sam's Club web application.
  • Work closely with product and design teams to optimize the experience for web platform.
  • Understand complex architecture and add any enhancements to the existing solutions.
  • Write unit tests and improve code coverage for unit tests.
  • Experiment with new technologies and features and build quick prototypes.
  • Participate in managing code & configurations for multiple environments, release management process, creating and maintaining environment configuration and controls, code integrity and work closely with platform team.
  • Analyze business requirements, develop UI/UX, support QA and similar steps of the scrum process, work in an agile development environment with a quick turnaround time and iterative builds.
  • Lead the discovery phase of medium to large projects to come up with high level design.
  • Troubleshoot business and production issues.
  • Ensure inclusion of business vision and industry trends to enable results that drive business.
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting design and development issues and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with technical and non-technical cross-functional teams.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated Front end engineering experience building, testing and shipping enterprise web applications.
  • Excellent knowledge of React native, React and Redux, Javascript, Node JS.
  • Proven ability in implementing MVC MVVM architectures, best practices and design patterns like reusable components, promises, application flow control.
  • Excellent debugging and optimization skills memory management, threading, effective use of OS resources.
  • Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON, multipart upload, third party libraries, websockets and APIs.
  • Hands-on using Core data and SQLite databases.
  • Software development in an Agile CI/CD development environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in working in a large enterprise, with a global environment, across multiple time zones and geographies.

Additional Compensation: $117,000.00-$234,000.00 per year plus annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
