Job Description

We are seeking an MDS Nurse Specialist to join our team at The Bonadio Group. This role involves implementing tasks on developed client workplans and managing ongoing client relations to meet client needs. As a subject matter expert on long term care clinical operations, you will be responsible for MDS completion and scheduling, clinical auditing, and providing ongoing support and solutions to our client base.

Responsibilities
  • Manage MDS activities as assigned.
  • Participate in the development of policies and procedures.
  • Provide client education.
  • Manage MDS audit activities as assigned.
  • Participate in CMI developed activities.
  • Provide documentation as outlined per policy by client site.
  • Maintain IMS databases as instructed.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry developments in regards to compliance and regulatory standards.
  • Stay informed on payer constraints and Medicare/Medicaid SNF billing requirements.
  • Participate in QM activities as assigned.
  • Participate in QIS and traditional mock survey teams.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of an associates degree or equivalent NYS Nursing licensure.
  • New York State RN or LPN licensure.
  • At least two years of operational experience in long term care clinical setting preferred.
  • At least two years of MDS experience desired, but will train.
  • Must act in accordance with compliance, security, privacy and HIPAA rules and regulations.
  • Must be willing to travel within New York.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active ANNAC, RAC, CT.

The salary for this position is between $50,000 to $68,000 and is commensurate with experience.

Work Environment
  • Our office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Our summer hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8:00 a.m. to noon on Friday.
  • We pride ourselves on our flexibility; however the ability to work additional hours will be needed at peak times.
