The Senior Network Engineer is a key member of the Enterprise Infrastructure team at Virtua, responsible for designing and implementing critical network and telecommunication systems. This role requires a strong background in Cisco systems, including PCCE/CCE, CUIC, CVP, ECE, VVB, and Finesse, as well as experience with SIP, IP, TCP, UDP, and QoS on an enterprise network.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the architecture team with design responsibilities and spearhead the implementation, maintenance, and support of Virtua's critical network and telecommunication systems.
- Provide onsite and remote support to internal and external customers, resolving higher-level technical issues and performing system upgrades as part of the escalation process.
- Mentor and guide junior team members on technical issues and emerging technologies.
- Automate and optimize recurring tasks and monitor their effectiveness.
- Provide feedback to manager regarding recommendations to further improve network-related systems and solutions that support the business and protect company information assets.
- Lead network technology upgrade or expansion projects, including installation of hardware, software, and integration testing, as well as coordinating these activities without disturbing function of other systems.
- Six to Ten years' experience in supporting enterprise network systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity Engineering, or related degree.
- Technical Certification preferred, Cisco CCNP, Cisco CCIE, Aruba AMCP, Palo Alto PCNSE.
- Valid driver's license required.
