Job Title: Advanced Pain Management Nurse Practitioner

AICA Orthopedics is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Pain Management Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary care team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our physicians and staff to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Job Summary:

The Advanced Pain Management Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients with acute and chronic pain conditions. This includes conducting thorough medical histories, performing physical examinations, and developing treatment plans in collaboration with our physicians. You will also be responsible for ordering diagnostic tests, interpreting lab results, and performing routine procedures such as trigger point injections.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough medical histories and physical examinations to establish a record of the patient's current health status and develop a working diagnosis and treatment plan.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including lab and radiology tests, to identify pathophysiologic processes.
  • Perform routine procedures such as trigger point injections and major joint injections.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with our physicians.
  • Provide patient education and counseling on treatment options and pain management strategies.
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary care team to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality monitoring and improvement initiatives to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an approved Nurse Practitioner Program with a master's degree in nursing.
  • Current state licensure and certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Prescriptive authority and current DEA license to prescribe.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in interventional pain management and orthopedic care.
  • Proficient in trigger point injections and ordering interventional spine procedures.
  • Current ACLS and BLS certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary care team environment.
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records and practice management systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
