Key Responsibilities

As a Suppression Technician, you will be responsible for servicing and repairing various fire protection systems, including Portable Fire Extinguishers, Kitchen Hood Systems, and Suppression Gas Systems. Your role will involve:

  • Conducting service and repairs on a range of fire safety equipment at client locations.
  • Troubleshooting and installing systems from multiple manufacturers, including Simplex and ANSUL.
  • Reading and interpreting technical documents such as blueprints, diagrams, and operational manuals.
  • Managing daily service calls and customer interactions effectively.
  • Working with clean agent systems, dry chemical systems, and specialized hazard systems.

Expectations

  • Provide timely and professional assistance to customers with inquiries and concerns.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency service requests.
  • Perform inspections of Suppression Gas Systems according to contractual obligations.
  • Utilize technology, including smartphones and specialized equipment, in your daily tasks.
  • Engage in potential government-related work as required.

Qualifications

Required:

  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities.
  • Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • FEL-A certification.

Preferred:

  • Certifications from manufacturers such as ANSUL or Kiddie PyroChem.
  • RMEI and multi-licensing are advantageous.
  • A valid U.S. driver's license.
