About the Role:

The Healthcare Operations Coordinator will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office. This individual will be responsible for managing medication prior authorizations, handling patient referrals, and performing receptionist duties. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

This role requires attention to detail, ability to multitask, and strong communication skills. You will work closely with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients to ensure timely and accurate submission of required documentation. In return, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment with a competitive salary range of $19.75-$30.00 per hour.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Medication Prior Authorizations:
  • Process and manage medication prior authorization requests.
  • Communicate with insurance companies to obtain necessary approvals.
  • Maintain accurate records of authorization statuses and follow up as needed.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure timely and accurate submission of required documentation.
  • Patient Referrals:
  • Coordinate patient referrals to specialists and other healthcare providers.
  • Ensure all referral documentation is complete and submitted promptly.
  • Track and follow up on referral statuses to ensure continuity of care.
  • Communicate with patients regarding referral appointments and instructions.
  • Receptionist Duties:
  • Greet and assist patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and schedule appointments.
  • Manage patient check-in and check-out processes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in healthcare administration is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a medical office setting, particularly with prior authorizations and referrals.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and other office software.
Compensation: $20.50-$32.00 per hour.
