Job Summary

This is a local contract position for a Certified Surgical Technologist to work in a fast-paced surgical setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aseptic technique, instrumentation, and sterile supply management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and other medical professionals during surgical procedures, maintaining aseptic technique and ensuring the sterility of equipment and supplies.
  • Set up and prepare operating rooms, including arranging equipment, instrumentation, and sterile supplies as needed.
  • Pass instruments and equipment to surgeons during procedures, maintaining a safe and efficient workflow.
  • Participate in case preparation, including pulling cases and breaking down equipment at the end of procedures.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a smooth and efficient surgical experience.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited allied health education program.
  • One year of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a surgical environment.
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist, with a current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Preferred certification through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.
