EHS Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team at Magna Body & Chassis Iowa. As a key member of our safety team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all safety and environmental standards are maintained and in compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations, as well as Magna policies.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate hazards
- Provide training and education to employees on safety procedures and protocols
- Investigate and report on all accidents and incidents, and develop corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence
- Collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility
- Develop and maintain safety statistics and metrics to track progress and identify areas for improvement
- Stay up-to-date with changing regulations and industry best practices, and implement changes as necessary
- Post-secondary education in safety engineering or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in health, safety, and environmental field, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
