About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team at Magna Body & Chassis Iowa. As a key member of our safety team, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for our associates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Provide training and education to associates on safety procedures and protocols.
  • Investigate and report on all accidents and incidents, and develop corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Collaborate with management and associates to promote a culture of safety and wellness.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in safety engineering or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in health, safety, and environmental field in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Highly self-motivated and flexible to changing priorities.
