Angels of Care Pediatric Home Health is a leading provider of home health services for children with special needs. We are seeking a certified occupational therapist to join our team of experienced and compassionate professionals.
About the RoleWe are looking for a skilled occupational therapist to provide high-quality care to our pediatric patients. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families.
Responsibilities- Implement treatment programs to assist pediatric patients with physical, cognitive, sensory, and social/emotional disabilities or delays.
- Develop and implement occupational therapy treatment plans in conjunction with the physician.
- Provide high-quality care and meet the needs of the patient and family by performing evaluations and interpreting assessment results.
- Assist pediatric and young adult patients in the areas of physical, neurological, cognitive, sensory, feeding, ADL's, and social/emotional development.
- Participate in educating, coaching, and empowering caregivers and families to develop skills to carry over therapeutic activities into the child's daily routine.
- Coordinate with referral partners to provide services for children in accordance with the physician order.
- Assure continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge by designing and instructing patients, families, and caregivers in home exercise programs.
- Document patient care services and care coordination in an intuitive electronic medical record system.
- Texas State OT license
- Current CPR certification
- A minimum of 1 yr. of experience preferred
