About the Job

Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort & Spa, located in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, is seeking a highly motivated Lifeguard to join our team

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Lifeguard who can ensure the safety of our guests by maintaining constant surveillance and monitoring of the assigned pool or water park area. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and be able to recognize hazardous situations, responding effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain the highest level of guest satisfaction by providing exceptional service and ensuring a safe environment.
  • Renders emergency care and contacts emergency medical services as necessary.
  • Assists with maintaining the cleanliness of the facility and prepares activity reports.
  • Attends scheduled in-service training and follows all established safety procedures.
  • Works closely with other team members to provide excellent customer service.
Requirements
  • American Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid, and AED Certification required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to speak effectively with guests and other team members.
  • Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions and lift 50 pounds.
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
