ROLE SUMMARY

Mixers play a crucial role in the production process by accurately combining approved ingredients to meet the company's standards and specifications. They operate machinery safely and efficiently, adhering to established timelines to ensure product freshness while following set recipes. Compliance with Food Safety regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) is essential.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Carefully add approved ingredients in the correct sequence into mixing equipment.
  • Inspect materials and products for quality assurance and adherence to specifications.
  • Operate scales, meters, mixers, and other related equipment.
  • Measure and weigh materials to ensure compliance with specific recipes.
  • Identify and label materials, products, and samples according to instructions.
  • Adjust materials during the manufacturing process to meet production requirements.
  • Feed materials into machinery for processing and manufacturing.
  • Load and unload materials and products using hand tools and moving devices.
  • Understand and follow production schedules effectively.
  • Communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Manage startup and shutdown procedures for mixing equipment at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Ensure all components of mixing equipment are well-maintained and compliant with company regulations.
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on mixing equipment to optimize performance.
  • Handle waste responsibly and safely.
  • Educate fellow workers on safety practices to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring that floors and food handling equipment are kept in good condition.
  • Assist in developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and reviewing manufacturing batch records.
  • Reset machines following malfunctions or when repeated cycles are necessary.
  • Document daily production reports regarding materials used and products made.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ability to work in varying temperature environments.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
  • Forklift certification is preferred.
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Possession of or ability to obtain steel-toed footwear.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency in reading and writing in English.
  • Availability to work Monday-Thursday for 10-hour shifts with potential overtime.
