Job Overview:

Hitachi Energy is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Power2 Engineering Development Program. This program offers an accelerated professional growth through engineering technical training over an 18-month period and 6-month optional rotation in other business functions. The program provides a tailored and robust curriculum with diverse project assignments that deliver a visible and significant contribution to your learning and transformers business.

This role will be located at Raleigh, NC, and you will have the opportunity to learn engineering product design skills and processes end-to-end, with the goal of supporting manufacturing at various factories in North America.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Learn about the Transformers & Components business, products portfolio, manufacturing industry, and operations including business functions.
  • Take ownership of your learnings and complete engaging projects within the assignment timeframe and engage with supervisors and mentors to develop your technical and leadership skills.
  • Challenge yourself to drive change and deliver outcomes through your contributions in your action learning project each rotation.
  • You will work on projects that broaden your skillset and participate in professional development activities.
  • Collaborate in a collaborative environment that encourages all voices to share their unique perspectives and fuel innovation.

Your Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with two (2) years of work experience. (Intern and Co-op experience will be considered.)
  • Candidate must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
  • Interest in the energy industry and manufacturing sectors.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organization and work/project planning skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and effective collaborator.
  • Willing to relocate for a few months in the factory environment - relocation assistance is provided.
