The Opportunity

Valvoline is seeking a skilled Master Data Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing and maintaining accurate and up-to-date master data, ensuring compliance with business rules and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain master data, including customers, vendors, and materials, ensuring data quality and accuracy.
  • Analyze data against standards and work with business areas to correct problem areas.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of master data standards and processes, and provide expertise to business areas to facilitate data maintenance.
  • Collaborate with business areas and resource groups to ensure understanding of master data requests, processes, and standards.
  • Maintain supporting documentation in compliance with established record retention requirements.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent (degree preferred)
  • Experience in master data or relevant business
  • Experience in SAP or other ERP systems, such as JD Edwards, Oracle, or similar
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, and Outlook
  • Proficient in both oral and written communication skills
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
