About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Director to join our team at Bell Partners. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of our properties, providing a safe and attractive environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit, train, and supervise a team of maintenance staff to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of maintenance services.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure the timely completion of tasks and minimize downtime.
  • Conduct regular inspections of properties to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with external contractors and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of services.
  • Develop and implement energy-efficient and cost-saving initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of our operations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of maintenance activities.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inventory, and equipment maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (e.g. facilities management, engineering) preferred.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in a multi-family housing environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing maintenance teams and improving operational efficiency.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that require walking, bending, reaching, climbing, and lifting up to 80 pounds.
